Bangladesh Engineering Design & Consultancy — known simply as BEDC — is an organically grown Bangladeshi engineering firm founded in 2016 by engineers with deep professional fluency in industrial design. From our office in Niketon, Gulshan, Dhaka, we provide effective, energy-efficient and innovative engineering design and consultancy services to the industrial sector across Bangladesh.
We specialise in fit-for-purpose solutions that precisely meet our customers' needs — from multinational corporations operating in Bangladesh to local manufacturers, including a large share of custom-tailored projects. Whatever the scale, the same principle applies: the design must work in the plant, not just on paper.
BEDC ensures full compliance with the relevant technical standards while involving highly competent engineers at every phase of a project. Beyond our internal resources, we collaborate with veteran professionals and academic experts to bring the best available knowledge into every design and consultation.
What we do
BEDC is a one-stop engineering partner for industrial facilities. Our practice covers complete utility system design (P&ID, 3D modelling, isometrics, steam, compressed air, water, fuel storage, heat recovery, pipe bridges and boiler rooms), water, effluent and sewage treatment plant design, fire fighting system design, pressure vessel design, HVAC system design, electrical utility design, energy audits and third-party inspection and testing services.
Our work is carried out against internationally recognised codes and standards — including ASME, NFPA, API, ANSI, BSI and Standards Australia — alongside Bangladeshi regulatory requirements from BNBC, the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), the Department of Explosives, the Department of Environment (DoE), BSTI, RAJUK, the Chief Inspector of Boilers, and the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
